Who it fits
Good fit for
This recliner suits elderly users or those with limited mobility who need help standing. The power lift mechanism reduces strain on knees and back. It also fits home theater enthusiasts who want a 155° recline angle for viewing. The integrated heat and massage features appeal to people seeking relief from back discomfort. If you need storage for essentials, the side and front pockets are a practical addition. The sturdy build supports long sitting sessions without losing shape.
Who should skip it
You should look elsewhere if you prefer manual reclining without electricity. This model requires a power source for the lift and massage functions. If you need a chair for very small spaces, note that it is 33.85 inches deep and 36.6 inches wide. It may not fit compact rooms. Also, skip this if you want a lightweight chair, as it weighs 104 pounds. The massage is vibration-based, not kneading, so those seeking deep tissue manipulation might find it insufficient.
Verdict: The OLIXIS Power Lift Recliner is a solid choice for users needing assisted standing and basic massage relief. Its specs support comfort and accessibility for daily use.
Key specs explained for this recliner
Recline Mechanism: Power lift
A motorized system assists you in standing up and lowering into the seat. This reduces strain on your knees and back, which is helpful if you have mobility challenges. You control the movement with buttons on the remote. Unlike manual recliners, this mechanism offers consistent support without requiring physical effort to adjust your position.
Massage: 8-point vibration
The chair uses eight vibration motors to target specific areas of your body. These motors cover your back, lumbar region, thighs, and legs. You can choose from four intensity levels and modes. This setup allows you to focus on tense muscles rather than receiving a uniform rumble across the entire seat. It provides targeted relief for common sore spots.
Heat: Back and seat
Integrated heating elements warm your back and seat cushion. This feature helps improve blood circulation and eases muscle stiffness. You can activate the heat independently from the massage vibration. This allows you to enjoy soothing warmth without the additional sensation of vibration, which is useful for relaxing after a long day or managing chronic discomfort.
Maximum Recline Angle: 155°
The chair tilts back to 155 degrees, which is near-flat but not fully horizontal. This angle supports your body comfortably for watching movies or resting. It is steeper than a zero-gravity position. This setting keeps you in a relaxed state while maintaining a slight incline, which can be easier for breathing and digestion than lying completely flat.
Dimensions: 36.6 inches wide
The seat width is 36.6 inches, providing ample space for most adults. This width accommodates larger body types without feeling cramped. When shopping, compare this to standard chairs that may be narrower. Ensure you have enough floor space in your room for this width plus the extension when fully reclined, so you can move around the chair comfortably.
Design and Build Specs
The OLIXIS recliner measures 36.6 inches wide, 40.2 inches high, and 33.9 inches deep. It weighs 104 pounds. The listing notes a grey finish. You can choose from beige or brown options in other sizes. The larger variant adds nearly an inch to the depth and width. These dimensions help you plan your living room or home theater layout. The chair fits standard spaces but requires clearance for the power lift function.
The seat and backrest use high-density, high-resilience foam. This material keeps its shape after hours of sitting. Plush memory sponge adds softness to the overstuffed areas. The power lift mechanism uses a counter-balanced system with a TUV-certified actuator. This design supports steady movement for standing and sitting. You control the recline and lift positions with simple buttons on the remote. The maximum recline angle reaches 155 degrees.
Storage includes one side pocket and two front pockets. These keep essentials within reach while you relax. The controls allow you to adjust the massage and heat independently. You can set the vibration to auto-off after 15, 30, or 60 minutes. The heat feature works separately from the massage motors. This setup lets you customize your comfort without extra adjustments. The build focuses on durability and ease of use for elderly users. According to the listing, the assembly is straightforward with a detailed manual included.
Setup And Daily Operation
The listing states that assembly is simple. You follow a detailed instruction manual to put the chair together. This makes it ready for use without complex tools or professional help. The unit is heavy at 104 pounds, so you should have assistance when moving it into place. Once assembled, daily use centers on the power lift mechanism and massage controls. You operate the recline and lift functions using two buttons on the remote. This allows you to adjust the angle smoothly. The maximum recline angle reaches 155 degrees, letting you find a comfortable position for watching movies or resting. The massage system uses eight vibration motors. You can target four zones: back, lumbar, thighs, and legs. There are four intensity levels and four modes available. You can set the massage to auto-off after 15, 30, or 60 minutes. The back and seat heating functions work independently from the vibration. This lets you use heat alone for circulation or comfort. Storage is handled by one side pocket and two front pockets. These keep essentials like books or remotes within reach. The chair is designed for living rooms, bedrooms, or home theaters. Its intended use includes support for the elderly. The high-density foam and memory sponge provide cushioning that maintains its shape during regular use. You control the environment around you with these practical features.
